SEAPORT BEERFEST A HUGE SUCCESS!
By the time the music had faded and the site was clear, the 2008 Halifax Seaport Beerfest had become the foremost East Coast event of it's kind. Braving threatening skies & light rain, over 1500 thirsty attendees came out to taste, learn, listen & simply have a great time. They weren't disappointed either as over 45 breweries and cider houses went overboard to provide a first-class taste experience. From legendary import brands to hometown award-winners, nearly every possible style category was there for the tasting. The site was alive with a great vibe as well, aided by the great blues sounds of locals Big Dirty Orchestra.
Already planning for next year, Saturday, August 8, 2009 looks to be an even better event with enhanced beer and food offerings. Meet you next year for another Beer on the Pier!
